BMW Group Asia appoints new Corporate Affairs Director.

From 6 May 2009, Ms Erin Atan will take over as the Corporate Affairs Director at BMW Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore, the regional corporate office of the BMW Group in Asia. Mr Ramesh Divyanathan, who has been overseeing BMW Asia's Corporate Affairs since July 2008, will continue in his current role as the Marketing Director of the Group.

Singapore. From 6 May 2009, Ms Erin Atan will take over as the Corporate
Affairs Director at BMW Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore, the regional
corporate office of the BMW Group in Asia. Mr Ramesh Divyanathan, who
has been overseeing BMW Asia's Corporate Affairs since July 2008, will
continue in his current role as the Marketing Director of the Group.
Announcing the change, Mr Johannes Seibert, Managing Director of BMW
Group Asia said, "We are pleased to appoint Ms Erin Atan as the
new Director of Corporate Affairs. Her extensive experience in the
media, government and in a regional public relations position will
prepare her well for the challenges at BMW Asia." On her new
appointment, Ms Atan said, "I am really delighted with this
opportunity to join the BMW Asia team and to work for the world's most
exciting automotive brand." Ms Atan brings with her vast
experience in public relations and corporate affairs. Prior to her
appointment at BMW Group Asia, Ms Atan was the Senior Vice-President at
LEWIS PR, overseeing the Asia Pacific region. In the earlier part of
her career, she had the opportunity to be based in New York and China,
which provided her an enriched international experience in
communications. BMW Group Asia in Singapore is the regional hub of the
Group in Southeast Asia. Established in 1985, it has two major roles.
The first is market responsibility for Southeast Asia, with the
management of the BMW Group subsidiaries in Singapore and Indonesia as
well as all importers in the Asia-Pacific region. Second, the office in
Singapore is the regional base for key corporate functions like
purchasing, corporate audit, corporate sales, direct sales and special
vehicles, as well as corporate affairs. In 2006, the regional office
added new corporate capabilities to its portfolio: the Asia-Pacific
Treasury Centre (one of three BMW Treasury Centres worldwide), the
Asian studio for BMW DesignworksUSA, a strategic design consultancy
within the BMW Group and BMW Group Financial Services. In addition,
the BMW Group also established an Asia-Pacific regional office for
Rolls-Royce cars in Singapore. Since January 1st 2003, the Rolls-Royce
brand has been part of the BMW Group, which presents itself with three
brands: BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce.
