Munich. Tommy Fleetwood was still in contention at the U.S. Open in Wisconsin (USA) on Sunday (the Englishman ultimately finished fourth). Just a few hours later, he was landing at Munich Airport on a BMW charter flight. Joining him on board were two-time major winner Martin Kaymer, Austria’s top golfer Bernd Wiesberger, and Spanish Ryder Cup player Rafa Cabrera Bello, who will all tee off at this week’s BMW International Open (21st to 25th June, Golfclub München Eichenried).
Armed with Bavarian flags, the golf stars disembarked still feeling a little tired, but full of anticipation ahead of the iconic German tournament. The elite party headed straight from the plane to BMW 7 Series shuttle cars, which awaited them on a special green carpet out on the runway.
