BMW to showcase innovative technology and the future of driving at the Montreal International Auto Show.

Richmond Hill, ON.  BMW Group Canada will showcase industry-leading technologies that represent the latest in autonomous driving and connectivity at the Montreal International Auto Show. Experience tomorrow’s technologies today and discover intelligent and intuitive innovations that offer more safety, comfort and convenience, and which are bringing us closer to autonomous mobility. 

WHAT:   In- and out-of-car demonstrations of BMW’s industry-leading innovative features. 

•  Watch a BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo park itself with BMW Remote Control Parking. This feature enables the driver to move the vehicle into or out of a tight parking space from outside of the car using the BMW Display Key.
• Experience BMW Parking Assistant, which can park the vehicle completely automatically either perpendicular or parallel to the street. The system measures potential spaces while you drive past them and maneuvers into the spot with no steering or pedal input from the driver.
• See how Gesture Control keeps the driver’s eyes on the road by enabling certain vehicle functions to be executed by simple hand movements. Some examples: A swipe of the hand rejects an incoming phone call while pointing at the centre console answers it, and volume can be adjusted by a circular motion of the index finger.
• Turn the 6 Series GT into a hotspot on wheels with WiFi Hotspot Integration.  Stream video or music, work on emails, and forget the question “Are we there yet?”  With the ability to connect up to 10 devices, this feature ensures that road trips are not only luxuriously comfortable, but also connected.
