Munich/Cologne. An impressive anniversary will be celebrated in Cologne in June 2018: the 30th BMW International Open. No other tournament on the European Tour has been held continuously for three decades under the same tournament name and with organiser BMW. The two European players who dominated the 2017 season, Sergio García (ESP) and Tommy Fleetwood (ENG), have already confirmed that they will be there. Tickets for the highlight of the golfing year in Germany make the perfect Christmas present for golf fans, and are available with a Christmas discount now.

“Next year, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of a unique tournament. I want to congratulate BMW on 30 amazing years of partnership in golf. Thank you so much for everything the company has done,” said García, who won the Masters in April and is the only European to win a Major this year. “I have always enjoyed playing at the BMW International Open and am already really looking forward to the 30th staging of this event. I hope to see you at another fantastic tournament in June.”

One week ago, Fleetwood claimed the greatest triumph of his young career, when he clinched the title in the Race to Dubai. “With its great atmosphere and top-class organisation, the BMW International Open is one of the highlights of our season,” said the European Tour’s top player in 2017. “The 30th anniversary tournament is sure to be a fantastic week and I am looking forward to celebrating this milestone with the golf fans in Germany.”

Tickets are on sale, with a ten-percent Christmas discount on up to four admission tickets or Fairway Club tickets. This offer is valid until 12:00 on 24th December. To claim the discount, the code “Xmas-2017” must be entered when ordering tickets online. Tickets ordered by 17th December 2017 will be dispatched before Christmas. Entry prices remain unchanged. Admission is free from Wednesday to Friday, while children aged 15 and under benefit from free entry on all days of the tournament. Day tickets for Saturday or Sunday are available for 30 Euros, while a season ticket for the entire weekend costs 45 Euros. VIP tickets for the Fairway Club can be purchased for 225 Euros (Thursday or Friday) or 345 Euros (Saturday or Sunday).
