BMW Group Annual Accounts Press Conference at BMW Welt in Munich on 18th March 2020. The Board of Management of BMW AG, l-r: Dr Nicolas Peter, Finance; Pieter Nota, Customer, Brands, Sales; Dr Andreas Wendt, Purchasing and Supplier Network; Klaus Fröhlich, Development; Oliver Zipse, Chairman; Dr Milan Nedeljković, Production, and Ilka Horstmeier, Human Resources (03/2020).
The interior of the sedan, which could accommodate four occupants, was very much in keeping with the style of the times. The wipers were fitted at the top so the windscreen could be pivoted outwards at the bottom by turning a handle.
A touring car version with its lightweight softtop open. This roof had the advantage of being extremely unobtrusive when folded down – just the ticket for fine-weather motoring.
The same touring car with the softtop closed and the detachable side windows in place. These, it must be said, were less than ideal and could easily get scratched when not in use. Customers could, however, order windows operated by a winder, plus a more elaborately padded softtop.
