Brno (CZ), 11th October 2015. The second endurance race of the season after the 24 Hours of Zolder (BE) was a resounding success for the BMW Motorsport Juniors. At the 12 Hours of Brno (CZ), Victor Bouveng (SE), Nick Cassidy (NZ) and Trent Hindman (US) celebrated class victory alongside their chief instructor Dirk Adorf (DE). After 286 laps on the 5.403-kilometre classic circuit, in the number 174 BMW M235i Racing, Bouveng crossed the finish line in 22nd place in the overall standings and as the winner in the strong SP3 class.

At 12:00 noon, a week after his win at the season finale of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC) in Road Atlanta (US), Hindman started the race from 36th on the grid. Thanks to all of the drivers delivering a flawless performance, the car in action for BMW Motorsport in collaboration with Walkenhorst Motorsport worked its way successively up the field and ended up being the best-placed BMW M235i Racing. Celebrating the surprisingly great success on the podium shortly after midnight was the reward for all of the hard collaborative work over the past few months.

Louis Delétraz (CH), the fourth BMW Motorsport Junior of the class of 2015, was also on-site in Brno, but wasn't at the wheel of the BMW M235i Racing. However, he still attended the meetings and kept his fingers crossed for his colleagues. His focus is on the season finale of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 this coming weekend, where he is fighting for the title.

Driver quotes from the race:

Dirk Adorf (chief instructor):
“This class victory is the icing on the cake of an outstanding performance by our juniors at the 12 Hours of Brno. They excelled at working as a team and tuning the car to suit the various needs of the individual drivers. They didn't make a single mistake during the race – and that is the key factor in an endurance race. They drove very intelligently. I am very proud of them.”

Victor Bouveng:
“That was a fantastic race for us. I'm delighted with the great result at our final joint race of the season. We are a great team and were able to assert ourselves against stronger competition here in Brno. We learned our lessons from our first joint endurance race in Zolder. I am also happy with my own performance since I didn't make any mistakes.”

Nick Cassidy:
“That was a strong performance by the whole team and my fellow drivers. This was my first endurance race in a touring car after I was unable to take part in Zolder. I learned a lot within a short space of time and am delighted with both the class victory for the team and my own performance.”

Trent Hindman:
“Two wins in a week – that's fantastic! Celebrating class victory here in Europe just a few days after the race in Road Atlanta feels very special. Many thanks to BMW Motorsport, Walkenhorst Motorsport and my team-mates. It was an honour to work with them and fly the BMW Motorsport colours here.”

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures is also available at www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further details of the official fuel consumption figures and official specific CO2 emissions of new cars, please refer to the “Manual on the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption of new cars”, available at sales outlets free of charge, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
