BMW Financial Services (Ireland) DAC have announced that Mr. Oliver Tattan will join the Board as an Independent Non-executive Director. Earlier this year BMW Financial Services (Ireland) DAC, took a significant step in establishing itself as the leading motoring credit institution in Ireland having received authorisation to act as a Retail Credit Firm under the Central Bank of Ireland Act 1997.

Mr. Tattan is best known for having founded Vivas Insurance and GloHealth (now Irish Life Health). He is currently Chairman for numerous companies in a wide range of industries including Brookson, Fadata and Applied Research for Connected Health and Chairs the Remuneration Committee at CPL Resources. He is an independent non-executive director at AGF International was also the founder of Insurance Regulatory Capital and OneBigSwitch. Previously, Mr. Tattan served as the Chief Executive of VHI Healthcare and was a Co-Founder of Daon.

He will serve in an advisory capacity to the management team at BMW Financial Services Ireland and will provide guidance, steering and oversight.

 

Commenting on the appointment Brian Merrigan, Managing Director, BMW Financial Services, Ireland said: “This a very exciting time for our company and Mr. Tattan brings a huge breath of experience that will have tangible benefits for a financial institution such as BMW Financial Services Ireland. We strive to be the leading example of how an automotive financial services provider should operate in Ireland”.

 

BMW Financial Services was established in Ireland in 2007 and currently employs over 25 people in its Dublin head office, and is the captive finance company for BMW Group in Ireland.
