Statement Jörg Müller“This is by no means routine, each test is different, each preparation for a test is different. We have already accomplished two tests. We have been to Estoril Portugal and last week we were in Valencia, Spain. Testing will never be a routine. You are often confronted with different temperatures, weather conditions and air pressures. You constantly learn something new. This is why testing is extremely interesting and you hope that in the first race you will profit from the experience gained during testing. I think this is impressive for everybody. Five or six years ago I already visited the Regensburg and Dingolfing plants. I cannot remember, however, that I was that close back then.Actually, this is nicer than on the race track. As the WTCC is not that popular there are many fans who don't know you properly. Here at the BMW plant everything is different, of course. The people, the employees of BMW watch our races, they know what we are doing, how we are doing in the championship and what we are planning for this year. It is nice to do something for the BMW employees and to give something back to them.”

Statement Andy Priaulx“It´s such a challenge to be at the top in this level. When you are in the front the wind is always in you face. I find it very motivating. To be honest, every year I get more motivated.I think if you are the same every year, you are going backwards. You always have to find something new, you always have to improve your job every year. I am always looking to go to the next level. And my preparation this year is slightly different than last year, maybe a bit more intense, and hopefully it takes us to another level. It´s great to see the whole plant, the whole factory and it´s very interesting from my point of view. Maybe one day I come here and like to choose my racing chassis. That would be really nice. It´s an amazing facility and I can not believe the volume of cars they produce every day. It´s unbelievable.”

Statement Prof. Mario Theissen“I am satisfied with the preparation done in winter. Our car, the BMW 320Si, has quite a history, this car won the last championship title. In its further development we therefore focussed on fine tuning and refinement. At the same time the drivers prepared accordingly. I think we are very well prepared for the first race. There is not much left to be done. The first race will take place in Curitiba, Brazil, as early as the beginning of March. This means that we are already past our deadline and the cars are to be loaded and forwarded to Brazil soon. The material will be sent over to Brazil and we'll see how the first race goes. For us it's important that the drivers not only develop a relationship to their race cars but also to BMW as a whole; we have organised the preparation week accordingly. The improvement of our drivers' fitness is top priority. We also attached great importance to teamwork and wish to ensure that our drivers get along well and communicate with each other. But we always seek to establish a relationship with BMW, and this is why we are visiting the BMW Welt today. This is why the drivers have come to visit the plant, to see the employees simply to feel what is behind BMW and BMW Motorsport.”
