Statement englisch: “Inspiration is really a very important thing obviously for designers. I get my inspirations from daily things, it is sometimes a bit difficult to point out exactly what it is. But I can tell you right now, one thing for me that is really inspiring is architecture. There are really a lot of phantastic projects going on, phantastic architecture. But in the case of the new 7 Series I would say.. I had an image, basically it came to me, I experienced it here in Munich, there is the palace, the Residenz, and I was walking along it and I say a row of phantastic 7 Series in black and they were just standing there and they had just this real presence, this natural presence to them, even elegant. And you just felt them there. I kept that image in my head and I actually had something that represented that on my desk and I always had that with me as I was sketching and going on during the project.”Statement englisch: „My personal highlight for the 7 Series is the body side. The body side was for me a real pleasure to do. It is really sculpture but subtle and there is again, for me, a beautiful play between light and shadow.
