Leading Business Mobility provider has half a million company cars under management

MUNICH 26/02/2013 – Last Friday, Alphabet officially handed over its 500,000th car to an employee of Deloitte Poland during a press event in Munich. Norbert van den Eijnden and Ed Frederiks, CEOs of Alphabet International, presented the BMW 320d Touring to Deloitte manager Przemysław Wistel, together with Leszek Pomorski, CEO of Alphabet Poland. By reaching this milestone, Alphabet strengthens its position as one of the top four Business Mobility providers in Europe. Over the past year, the company has been able to increase its number of customer contracts by six per cent. Alphabet has grown further since the beginning of this year and now has over half a million cars under management in 19 countries.

“Our continuous growth is narrowly tied with Alphabet’s Business Mobility strategy,” says Norbert van den Eijnden. “Within this strategy, we place the focus on the mobility of companies and employees. In this way, we create innovative solutions for the changing demands of the market. This includes the integration of carsharing and electric vehicles into company fleets.” Ed Frederiks adds, “Our goal is to be one of the top three Business Mobility providers. Alphabet is therefore expanding its market position progressively and internationally. The handover of the 500,000th car to Deloitte Poland, a long-standing customer in this important market, underlines this.”

Deloitte Group has been an Alphabet customer for the past 12 years, with the mobility provider looking after the Polish subsidiary since 2003. Currently, Alphabet takes care of the mobility needs of approximately 700 of the management consultancy’s employees in seven countries. About 100 company cars are on the road for Deloitte Poland.

“Our collaboration with Alphabet Poland has been very good,” says Leszek Tokarski, Partner at Deloitte. “We are especially impressed with the excellent communication with Alphabet consultants and the company’s flexibility and the timely manner in which they solve all arising fleet issues. These are just two of the reasons, why Alphabet is currently the sole provider of all of our national fleet services.”

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures is also available at www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further details of the official fuel consumption figures and official specific CO2 emissions of new cars, please refer to the “Manual on the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption of new cars”, available at sales outlets free of charge, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
