The Board of Trustees of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt has appointed Peik v. Bestenbostel (46) to be Member of the Board of Management of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. Peik v. Bestenbostel, who has been Head of Corporate Communications of BMW Group since 2001, will take up the position on September 1st, 2005.

Munich. The Board of Trustees of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt has
appointed Peik v. Bestenbostel (46) to be Member of the Board of Management of
the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. Peik v. Bestenbostel, who has been Head of
Corporate Communications of BMW Group since 2001, will take up the position on

The BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt was founded in 1970 by BMW AG as the Herbert
Quandt Foundation in recognition of everything that Herbert Quandt had done for
BMW. The Foundation's chosen task is to maintain a dialogue between business,
politics and society at national and international level.
The Foundation's objectives include the promotion of international political
and economic cooperation and the encouragement of young managers from the
worlds of business, politics, science and the media.
