For the 2004 riding season, there will be a great deal of new and attractive rider equipment awaiting customers at BMW Motorrad dealers. In this collection is a new black leather suit with "TFL Cool System" technology. This leather reflects sunlight and does not heat up as much as untreated leather. BMW Motorrad is offering the "Stoke" motorcycle suit for children for the first time featuring an intelligent zip system allowing it to be used for several motorcycle seasons. The Belice suit with fleece jacket has been especially designed for female riders. Since 1999, BMW Motorrad has only offered rider's wear & equipment which was developed in accordance with the C.A.R.E. concept (Concept of Advanced Rider Equipment). Safety, weather resistance and climate balance, comfort and functionality as well as quality and durability are the pillars of this concept. The concept applies most stringent standards to the rider's wear & equipment under development. In addition to fulfilling the C.A.R.E. concept requirements, BMW Motorrad rider's wear & equipment meets the highest standards in terms of design, color and style. Fabric innovations such as InoTex (a highly abrasion-proof denim-look material mix), Technoloden (combination of wool and a highly tear-resistant polyamide) and Armacor (a highly tear-resistant fabric with Kevlar and Cordura as a triple-layer laminate with Goretex), all help to make motorcycling safer and more comfortable. Please find attached the press texts on the new products of the BMW Motorrad rider equipment collection 2004.

BMW Motorrad rider's wear & equipment - a permanent integral part of the range
of products offered by BMW Motorrad as a system provider.

At the end of the seventies BMW began developing clothing for motorcyclists. An
integral helmet was the very first piece of rider's equipment. As well
as observing the choice of materials and their functionality, BMW Motorrad
considers it essential to ensure ongoing technical advancements and to
take the lead.

In 1986 BMW also introduced to the market the first Goretex suit for
motorcyclists, this being a unique new product in the field of motorcycle
clothing at that particular time. This was followed in 1993 by a waterproof
leather suit, the suit Monaco. The outstanding feature of this suit was and
still is a special treatment developed by BMW, whereby the pores of the leather
are tightened to such an extent as to cause the absorption of water to drop to
10 percent by volume without restricting the breathability of the leather.

The fourth generation of the suit Atlantis, the Atlantis 3 Pro, will be on sale
in 2004, this suit being an ideal travel companion for demanding motorcyclists
who attach great importance to both functionality and exclusivity.

Since 1999, BMW Motorrad has only offered rider's wear & equipment which was
developed in accordance with the C.A.R.E. concept (Concept of Advanced Rider
Equipment). Safety, weather resistance and climate balance, comfort and
functionality as well as quality and durability are the pillars of this
concept. The concept applies most stringent standards to the rider's wear &
equipment under development. In addition to fulfilling the C.A.R.E. concept
requirements, BMW Motorrad rider's wear & equipment meets the highest standards

and Armacor (a highly tear-resistant fabric with Kevlar and Cordura as a
triple-layer laminate with Goretex), all help to make motorcycling safer and
more comfortable.

The latest development is the so-called "TFL Cool System"-technology.
This leather reflects sunlight and consequently absorbs less heat than
untreated leather.

Some suits from the range of BMW Motorrad rider's wear & equipment are
available in up to 40 sizes and offer styles designed especially for women.
Intelligent detail solutions such as height-adjustable knee protectors or soft
buttons, which prevent scratching on the bike's paintwork, underline the
demands designers of BMW Motorrad rider's wear & equipment place upon the
products they create. Not only can the jacket and trousers be attached to each
other by connecting zips, hence providing the wearer of BMW Motorrad suits with
flexibility of choice. Due to this feature almost all jackets and trousers can
also be combined with each other. By using an adapter this method of combining
is even possible with older products and, owing to the numerous variations
available, is unique for motorcycle clothing.
