After already receiving eight residual value awards in the Sporty and Compact segments since 2002, two new awards have taken MINI’s total haul of ALG residual value accolades to 10 awards in the 10 years since the brand’s arrival in the U.S.

Los Angeles – November 28, 2012… MINI USA has been presented with two residual value awards from ALG at the 2012 LA Auto Show. After already receiving eight residual value awards in the Sporty and Compact segments since 2002, two new awards have taken MINI’s total haul of ALG residual value accolades to 10 awards in the 10 years since the brand’s arrival in the U.S.
ALG recognized the MINI Cooper Countryman for having the best residual value In the Sub Compact Utility Vehicle segment, and recognized the rest of the 2013 MINI lineup for having the best residual value in the Premium Compact Car segment.
“In our 10th year in America, it’s an honor to have now received a total of 10 residual value awards from ALG,” said Jim McDowell, Vice President - MINI USA. “These awards are testament to the MINI brand’s commitment to build premium quality vehicles that consumers recognize as a sound investment.”
ALG’s 14th annual Residual Value Awards, for the 2013 model year, honor the vehicles in each industry segment that ALG predicts will retain the highest percentage of their Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) after a three-year period.
“Consistently high demand for the MINI brand propels its Cooper lineup to a Premium Compact Car award,” said Larry Dominique, President of ALG. “Product variants introduced for 2012 have kept the brand fresh and helped sustain the brand’s appeal to consumers. MINI’s balance between demand and production keeps incentives low, and is a key driver of high residual value.”
