Join BMW XPLOR and RawHyde Adventures for Pikes Peak Rally August 19-22

Woodcliff Lake, NJ – August 6, 2010… As temperatures rise throughout the USA, the BMW XPLOR Riding Community and RawHyde Adventures (BMW Motorrad USA’s West Coast off-road training academy), are teaming up to offer enduro riders three days of  “cool” adventure riding in the high mountain peaks of Colorado.  The Pikes Peak Rally, held August 19-22 at the Garden of the Gods campground in Colorado Springs, offers some of the most incredible adventure riding in the country at a comfortable average temperature of 78 degrees.

Pikes Peak -- one of the "crown jewels" of Adventure Riding in North America – is one of the highest elevations a motorized vehicle can travel in the USA.  The Pikes Peak Hillclimb – known as “The Race to the Clouds” – is one of the oldest motorsports events, where legendary names, such as Mario Andretti and Bobby Unser, have earned their racing stripes.  The total climb is just over 12 miles and is primarily dirt-covered.  At an elevation topping 14,000 feet, the view spans from Wyoming to Kansas.

Enduro riders looking to beat the heat this summer will find rides from mild to wild at The Pikes Peak Rally.  Mountain passes, superb forest service roads and the infamous Mosquito Pass are just some of the adventures awaiting those who register.
