"Ladies and gentlemen,
today, in the responsibility and role that it enjoys, the Supervisory Board has
set the course for personnel continuity in the long term in the management of
the BMW Group.
As from 1 September this year, Dr. Norbert Reithofer will thus, as my
successor, be taking over responsibility as Chairman of the Board of Management.
I myself never left anyone in any doubt that I enjoyed, and still enjoy, this
task.
I would like to wish the company and all its associates continued success in
the future - and hope that they enjoy every minute of it.
