Ladies and gentlemen, MINI looks back over an exceptionally exciting year. A year in which the highlight was a change of generation. And once again, the US market had a key role to play. The US is still the most important single market in the world for MINI. We sold some 56,112 automobiles of the brand here in 2014, with the new MINI Hardtop contributing to this figure since the middle of the year.

Despite replacing our core volume model the MINI hatch, we managed to sell 302,183 cars worldwide – roughly the same as during MINIs record year 2013.Having said this, it was indeed a year of 2 halves for us ... the first 6 months of last year were heavily affected by the run out of our MINI hardtop ... whilst in the 3rd and especially the 4th quarter we managed to achieve all time high sales numbers in all key markets.And what do we expect from 2015? You can imagine that we are putting high hopes into the MINI Hardtop as well as the brand new MINI 4 Door, which has just gone on sale here in the US. 2015 will see further launches and new models ... the first one standing right behind me ...
