It’s fun because I have an M3 but I can not do that, you know. And it’s good fun, you have maximum opposite load and you just control the car with the throttle. And it’s good to feel the limit of the car when you slide.” Slalom drive, several shots Slalom drive, Marc Gené behind the steering wheel Slalom drive, several shots Time scoreboard, several shots Pan, BMW M3 driving BMW M3 on race track, several shots p.o.v. car, BMW M3 driving along the track Marc Genè behind the steering wheel, close

Interview, participant Strange, but tremendously interesting. What fascinated me the most, was how long the car stays in the bend, when you think it would have broken away. Oh yes, many times, but particularly in winter when it freezes over. I mean, in certain situations i think it would be very much to my advantage, if I consider what I´ve been told here . About how and when to react. Got used to it amazingly fast. It´s fun and really great that one can get used to changing gears so quickly. There is always something new to learn and I´d love to do something like this again because I think, that I can allways learn from it. There is always more to learn about roadsafety and traffic and you can have fun doing it. I would say it should be part of the drivers test, maybe not straight away, that might be a bit soon, but say after a year, a kind of road safety training course. I think it would be a great idea. I mean, I would appreciate having had something like this.

Interview, participant sitting in BMW M3 I think it is mainly about experiencing how we react ourselves and how the car reacts. If we think through these situations and bear them in mind in everyday traffic, it is certainly a great help.

“Well because I no matter how good a driver you think you are you can always learn. Obviously, the lowest level you have the more you learn, but its very interesting, because you realize that in a driver training day you do things that normally you never can do and you see your limit and the limit of the car and the limits of the other people so its very interesting and honestly – I even recommend it for people who think they are very good drivers because you are never good enough. You know, you can always learn things and it’s a safety issue so it’s very interesting.” “Yeah, I was surprised this morning when I did the cone Section and I was quicker with the stability control on, than with it off. That shows how efficient stability control is. Its very efficient because I really thought I was gonna beat the machine, and in a way the machine beat me. OK, it was only three to four tenth but still very impressive. And also it was very nice the slides because its good just to make continuous power slides. The slides were more fun for me, but I was very surprised with the stability control in the cone section.“ “Being the BMW WilliamsF1 Test Driver it’s not normal obviously that I come to these Trainings but I’m happy I did so, because first I realised how this Training works, and how helpful it can be do any person really no matter how good a driver they are. Also, I’ve seen that they really put you in all kind of situations that you might come up. Whether it’s rain, whether it’s sunny, taking an avoiding action when the car is sliding in a corner. So you get to see all this situations, also you get first the theory and then the practice. And then, there is also the fun part. That you get to do things you never can do. You can get to drive in a circuit, you can get to do power slides, that you usually don’t do, and you have very good instructors they can communicate very well and then they always make sure that the situation is save. So even as a Formula 1 driver really is a fun day for me today. And I learned things, which you would think a Formula 1 driver could never learn anything and even a Formula 1 driver learn things. So that shows how important that is for any person you know. So it was very interesting for sure.”
