Munich/Le Mans. On Sunday, 22 April 2007, the chequered flag came down at 3 pm for the 30th "24 Heures Moto" at Le Mans. Shortly afterwards, the professional team rider Rico Penzkofer crossed the finishing line securing the BMW Motorrad Motorsport Team an exceptional 16th overall rating in the first of four endurance races in 2007.Within the past 24 hours, Berti Hauser, General Manager BMW Motorrad Motorsport and his 28 strong factory team managed what many had thought unlikely: The sports boxer on the technical basis of the BMW R 1200 S brought the three riders to the finishing line with clockwork precision without a single technical fault.
