Gurgaon. The new BMW 320i was launched today in India in two exclusive design schemes: Prestige and Luxury Line. With the launch of the BMW 320i, the BMW 3 Series sedan is now available across the country in both petrol and diesel variants.

The new BMW 320i is available at all BMW dealerships as a CBU (Completely built-up) unit from today onwards.

With its outstanding sporting characteristics and elegant design, the BMW 320i diversifies the engine portfolio of the BMW 3 Series in India. With a varied range of equipment options, the new BMW 320i Prestige bestows practicality and modern styling while Luxury Line indulges travel in style with elegant contours and luxurious features.

The all India ex-showroom prices for the BMW 320i are as follows -

BMW 320i Prestige - INR 36, 90, 000

BMW 320i Luxury Line - INR 42, 70, 000

Ex-showroom price (inclusive of VAT at 12.5%) as applicable in New Delhi and Maharashtra but excludes Road Tax, RTO statutory taxes/fees, Insurance and Octroi (if applicable). Colors available: Alpine White as non-metallic color and Black Sapphire, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect as metallic colors. Jatoba metallic paintwork is exclusively available for the BMW 320i Luxury Line.

The range of fine upholstery combinations in Luxury Line include Leather Dakota Oyster / Oyster Dark Highlight | Black, Leather Dakota Saddle Brown / Brown highlight with bicolor instrument panel | Black and Leather Dakota Veneto Beige / Oyster dark highlight. The BMW 320i Prestige features Sensatec Veneto Beige | Veneto Beige upholstery.

The latest generation BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine features remarkably agile power delivery and excellent responsiveness, even at low engine speeds. At the same time it is more efficient, with fewer emissions and offers better performance. It produces an output of 135 kW / 184 hp and a maximum torque of 270 Nm at 1,350 – 4,600 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 -100 km / hr in just 7.3 seconds to a top speed of 235 km / hr.

The new eight-speed automatic transmission performs smooth, almost imperceptible gear shifts. At any time, in any gear, the transmission collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency.

EfficientDynamics doubles the Sheer Driving Pleasure of the new BMW 3 Series with features such as Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration, Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Electronic Power Steering, 50:50 Weight Distribution and many other innovative technologies. Using the Driving Experience Control switch, the driver is able to choose between different driving modes to suit the driving conditions.

BMW iDrive (the on-board Driver Information system), BMW Apps, Park Distance Control (PDC), Connectivity through Bluetooth and USB devices are offered as standard in the new BMW 320i. The BMW ConnectedDrive in the new BMW 320i Luxury Line also includes BMW Navigation system Professional (integrated Global Positioning System-GPS) with 3D maps.

The new BMW 3 Series portfolio consists of diesel engine (320d) offered in four variants which is locally produced in Chennai and petrol engine (320i) offered in two variants which is available as CBU (Completely built-up) unit.
