But of course it was our customers who made sure about this is the case because since 1975 more than 12 million have bought a BMW 3 Series and this way they have turned the BMW 3 Series the most successful series in the premium segment. And for us it was all always obvious: the 6th generation of the BMW 3 Series also will be manufactured in Munich. For the colleagues here at the plant in Munich this production is a special challenge: First of all because they are making sure that the new BMW 3 Series will reach markets in time worldwide and will be available worldwide for the introduction on February 11th, 2012. And secondly they are showing once more that car manufacturing is possible even in a built up city even at the 21st century. And of course if it is modern and sustainable.'
