Interview Giles Taylor “Here we are with the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100. It’s a very unique vehicle made for a very unique person somewhere in the future, let’s say 20 years from now, where we believe our customers will come to Rolls-Royce expecting a fully bespoke service. This car actually offers for the first time in history of Rolls-Royce a fully unique coach build service matched with a unique interior on a fully electric drive train, fully autonomous for two people travelling in great tranquility in effortless motion just like our customers do today.”Long shot, side view, tracking shot: 3/4 front view. Medium close up, front view, tracking shot: pan over lights, grill and Eleanor (Spirit of Ecstasy) . Medium Long shot: pan from OLED-Display to the seats. Interview Giles Taylor “Right in the beginning of the creative process – that the exterior design team captured the magical DNA of Rolls-Royce. For example, the long front bonnet, stretching out into the night, guided by the up lit “Spirit of ecstasy” through Manhattan, Mayfair, Beijing – all these glamourous places, that our high-networked individuals travel. This lovely sweeping silhouette, almost like Wraith, through its fastback profile, that stretches right to rear of the car, captures the glamour and the essence of “bespoke” in the future, which we felt was very important for this unique individual.”Close up: read Rolls-Royce Batch. Long shot, side view, tracking shot: side view to 3/4 front view. Interview Giles Taylor: “Perhaps the most important aspect of the exterior was to evoke the sense of efficiency, sense of light weight electric car architecture. The vehicle is fully autonomous. It has an electric motor in the front and an electric motor in the rear. And we wanted to evoke these values very much in the lightweight nature of the lines and body structure.”Long shot, rear view. Medium close up, 3/4 rear view, tracking shot. Interview Giles Taylor: “So in this view here you have lines that bounce up, so to speak, from the side of the vehicle converge very gracefully into this box tail. There is a lot of nautical familiarity to the way that we treated the rear of the car. This beautiful diffusor type surface that comes up from the rear again suggesting efficiency. Perhaps more importantly though was the reference to the Taniag. This was a experimental vehicle developed by Sir Henry Royce in the 1920s. One of the most beautiful pieces of body work that we can think of. And the design team wanted to pay an homage to the lovely sense of discipline and order. The punctuation of the rear lights, the fine lines all references this vehicle.”Medium close up, side view, tracking shot: track along the body. Interview Giles Taylor: “So here you can see how the design team set out the stage that moment of grand arrival. The sanctuary, that peaceful heaven, suddenly opens up into the nigh with this grand majestic gesture. The side opening door allows the occupants to stand up and enter gracefully and more importantly arrive gracefully, with this lovely red light carpet shining the way into the night.”Long shot, exterior, 3/4 side view, tracking shot: door opens up. Close up, exterior, side view: door opens up, stair moves out, red carpet light. Interview Giles Taylor: “And so to our “Spirit of Ecstasy”, or should I say Eleanor Thornton. She was a lady, who existed in 1911. She was actually sculptured by the famous sculptor named Charles Sykes. And since than she adorned the radiato
