The new BMW X2 M35i: Pricing and specifications announced for New Zealand.

The compact Sports Activity Coupe X model now has an overtly sporting edge with the latest M35i variant topping the BMW X2 range.

Introducing the first four-cylinder M Performance engine.

At the heart of the BMW X2 M35i lies a powerful version of the latest generation TwinPower Turbo petrol engines, the first high-performance four-cylinder engine since the iconic BMW E30 M3 power unit.

The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 225kW of power and 450Nm of torque, allowing the BMW X2 M35i to accelerate from 0-100km/h in an impressive 4.9 seconds.

The eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission in complete with Launch Control and offers the driver gearshift paddles for maximum control.

Enhanced chassis harnesses performance.

To maximise the engine’s full potential, the BMW X2 M35i features specifically-tuned M Sport suspension that has been adapted to the BMW X2 M35i’s exact requirements.  This works in harmony with the M-tuned sports steering that creates an agile and precise driving experience.

The intelligent all-wheel-drive xDrive system has been coupled with the M Sport differential, a mechanical limited-slip differential fitted to the front axle to maximise front end grip and minimise torque steer.

The M Sport brakes, with characteristic blue callipers, deliver superior stopping power and are framed by the Double-spoke styled 20-inch light alloy wheels.

Exterior BMW design features heighten the modern, sporty aesthetic.

BMW X2 M35i’s distinctive exterior design contains key design elements that highlight its sporting stance.

The specific M Aerodynamics package combines black high-gloss details with specific body trim components finished in the signature M Performance hue – Cerium Grey.

A low slung roof, powerful shoulder line, ‘tucked’ glass house and integrated rear spoiler structure the rear view of the car.

Two specifically designed exhaust pipes finished in Cerium Grey, each measuring a considerable 100mm in diameter, commands on-road presence and exudes power.

Entering the cabin, the prominent ‘M35i’ adorned door sill finishers further set the sporty theme.

New M Sport seats, featuring integrated headrests and electric seat adjustment, come in a variety of upholsteries and offer superior lateral support for both driver and passenger.
