  • Q4 arrivals for all models

BMW Group New Zealand will expand its renowned X model line-up with three new models set to arrive in the country by the fourth quarter of 2019.

The celebrated BMW X5 range will be bolstered by the all-new xDrive45e model, the first hybrid variant available for the new generation BMW X5 line-up, and the sharply positioned X5 xDrive30d Edition.

The X5 xDrive 45e now boasts a six-cylinder petrol engine, which replaces the four-cylinder power unit of the previous generation X5 xDrive40e.

It combines this with a powerful electric motor that provides an impressive combined total output of 290kW, helping the xDrive45e accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds.

The hybrid battery also benefits from vast improvements, aiding in considerable gains to performance, fuel efficiency and driving range.

The new BMW X5 xDrive30d Edition will provide an enticing entry point to the X5 range while still offering a six-cylinder engine and the highest level of specification relative to its price position in the luxury SAV segment.

The BMW X range family’s luxury flagship, the X7, will now feature a mighty Twin Turbo V8 via the new M50i model. This propels the X7 M50i from 0-100km/h in just 4.7 seconds.

The supreme performance of this powertrain, combined with the X7’s commanding presence, make this new model a highly compelling proposition.

The X7 M50i mirrors the specification of the X7 M50d and is priced at $199,900.

Condition Based Servicing

All maintenance requirements for the BMW X5 and BMW X7 are controlled by the Condition Based Servicing (CBS) system.

With CBS, sensors and advanced algorithms monitor and calculate the conditions in which a vehicle is used, including mileage, time elapsed since its last service, fuel consumption and how a vehicle is driven. Based on the information captured, maintenance requirements are determined, identifying whether an annual vehicle inspection or oil service is due.

Selected BMW service and maintenance costs can be covered by a single, one-off advance payment with BMW Service Inclusive (BSI), which is available in two packages: Basic or Plus.

As with all New Zealand-new BMW vehicles, a five-year warranty, three-year service inclusive programme and five year roadside assist coverage is fully included.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures is also available at www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further details of the official fuel consumption figures and official specific CO2 emissions of new cars, please refer to the “Manual on the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption of new cars”, available at sales outlets free of charge, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
