BMW New Zealand takes the lead in digital customer experiences with the launch of its all-new BMW Store, along with the exclusive opportunity to secure the exciting BMW X2 Mesh Edition from 26 January 2021.

Digitally savvy BMW fans can secure the razor-sharp looking Sports Activity Coupé via this first-ever online exclusive model months before local arrival in Q2 of 2021.

The BMW X2 Mesh Edition builds sporty and sophisticated M Sport X model and gives the BMW X2 an even more exclusive and distinctive appearance with edition-specific touches.

The BMW X2 Mesh Edition comes in five exciting exterior combinations:  Brooklyn Grey metallic (edition-specific, not available on the series X2) and Black Sapphire metallic feature Orange decal highlights and Orange contrast on 20-inch M aerodynamic wheels, emphasising the car’s striking appearance. Alpine White, Phytonic Blue metallic and Sunset Orange metallic variants come with Black decals and M aerodynamic wheels with a Bicolour finish.

The BMW X2 Mesh Edition also features additional edition-specific content, for example three-dimensional Y-mesh M kidney grilles in high-gloss black, extended elements in BMW Individual Shadow Line (exhaust tips and trunk emblem surround), as well as mocha wheel arch and mocha lower plastic trims on the doors and bumpers.

Inside, edition-exclusive heated M Sport front seats are upholstered in a combination of Mocha Brown leather and Anthracite Alcantara, accentuated by Orange contrasting seams. Door entry sills featuring the edition-specific wordmarks and pedal trims, all made from stainless steel, ensure a significantly upgraded interior experience.

The additional content on the BMW X2 Mesh Edition presents great value of up to $9,000 for those interested in the sharp and dynamic compact Sports Activity Coupé.

Those who wish to reserve a BMW X2 Mesh Edition simply need to place a fully-refundable $500 deposit online. They can then choose and specify their desired colour combination in coordination with their preferred dealer, and arrange for balance payment as well as delivery once the car arrives.

In addition to online-only special editions, customers will be also able to secure upcoming BMW models online via the Store months ahead of local arrival. 

This feature enables future-focused early adopters to secure a booking for the highly-anticipated BMW iX3 or iX months before the model’s pricing and standard specifications have been announced.

The BMW Store will also allow customers to secure any new BMW model in stock with a fast, four-step process.

If customers desire a specific colour and trim combination for any BMW model, they can configure the vehicle to their specifications and send an enquiry to their preferred dealer. The dealer then helps the customer to finalise their dream car and will help to place an order. 

Other new features of the Store include the ability to request a test drive of a similar chosen vehicle and an online price quotation including an accompanying online chat with a sales consultant if required.  

The Store is constantly updated to include new vehicle arrivals in BMW dealerships across New Zealand for up-to-date information available at customers’ fingertips.

Thanks to this highly streamlined and digital process online, vehicle sale, delivery and handover can be completed within a matter of days.

Warranty and Condition Based Servicing

As with all New Zealand-new BMW vehicles a five-year warranty, three year service inclusive programme and five year roadside assist coverage is fully included.

All maintenance requirements for the BMW X2 are controlled by the Condition Based Servicing (CBS) system.

With CBS, sensors and advanced algorithms monitor and calculate the conditions in which a vehicle is used, including mileage, time elapsed since its last service, fuel consumption and how a vehicle is driven. Based on the information captured, maintenance requirements are determined, identifying whether an annual vehicle inspection or oil service is due.

Selected BMW service and maintenance costs can be covered by a single, one-off advance payment with BMW Service Inclusive (BSI), which is available in two packages: Basic or Plus.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies.
