BMW i Andretti Motorsport will contest Season 7 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with the two drivers Jake Dennis (GBR) and Maximilian Günther (GER). Dennis won over those making the decision in an intensive selection process and through his performances during test drives in the BMW iFE.20 as well as in the BMW Motorsport simulator. The 25-year-old succeeds Alexander Sims (GBR) alongside Günther.
After the current season drew to a close with the six races in Berlin (GER), BMW i Andretti Motorsport lays the first steps for Season 7 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. After his successful maiden season, Maximilian Günther (GER) will drive the BMW iFE.21 for the team in 2021. Alexander Sims (GBR) will move within Formula E after two years as a BMW i Andretti Motorsport driver.
After about half a year of intensive development work, the BMW M4 GT4 is set to make its virtual debut on the sim racing platform iRacing in June. To make sure that the BMW M customer racing car is as realistic as possible, iRacing developers are working as intensively with the BMW Motorsport engineers as if they were working on a real racing car.
First Laguna Seca (USA), next the Nürburgring-Nordschleife (GER) – and then the virtual Formula E test round: BMW works drivers have three big sim racing events ahead of them over the coming days.
#STAYHOME – this guideline applies to the BMW works drivers as well. Instead of competing in the various race series, they are currently spending their time at home, but they are by no means sat twiddling their thumbs, even in the mandatory break the BMW drivers have a full schedule. This ranges from fitness training and sim racing, through time with the family, to pursuing old and new hobbies.
Season 6 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship got underway for BMW i Andretti Motorsport on Monday with the digital season kick-off. The new BMW iFE.20 was presented to the public for the first time on Facebook and YouTube.

Next Saturday, the Ad Diriyah E-Prix (KSA) kicks off the fifth season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. It also marks the first race appearance for the BMW i Andretti Motorsport team and the BMW iFE.18 race car with its BMW i powertrain.
On 15th December, the new BMW iFE.18 and the BMW i Andretti Motorsport Team will contest their first race in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship in Ad Diriyah (KSA). At the heart of the car, which was developed for Season 5, lies the drivetrain: The Racing eDrive01. It brings together the pioneering spirit, innovation and technological expertise of both BMW Motorsport and BMW i.
The stage is set for the car and the team that BMW will enter in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship as of Season 5. On Friday, BMW i Motorsport presented the new BMW iFE.18 and the new BMW i Andretti Motorsport team at BMW Welt’s double cone in Munich (GER).

Season 4 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship continues on the streets of Santiago (CHI) this weekend, with the Santiago E-Prix on 3rd February. The fourth round of the season will be the first Formula E event to be held in Chile. BMW works drivers António Félix da Costa (POR) and Tom Blomqvist (GBR) will race at the South American venue for MS&AD Andretti Formula E.
