BMW Group at the Mondial de l'Automobile Paris 2000

Munich. The BMW Group will be making a really powerful appearance at the
Paris Motor Show. "BMW - la performance ultime, moteur de notre
développement" This is the motto of the BMW Brand's
presentation at this year's Paris Motor Show. A whole range of
highlights will make a visit to the BMW stand a truly worthwhile
experience: The updated BMW 5 Series with significant modifications in
design and equipment will be making its world debut under the Eiffel
Tower. Another first-ever appearance will be the premiere of the BMW
six-cylinder engine family now being rounded off in full with the
125kW/ 170 bhp/210 Nm/155 lb-ft 2.2-litre, the 141 kW/192 bhp/245 Nm/
181 lb-ft 2.5-litre, and the 170 kW/231 bhp/300 Nm/221 lb-ft 3.0-litre.
These outstanding engines will be replacing the previous six-cylinder
power units in no less than 21 BMW models throughout the 3 Series, 5
Series and the Z3 model range. And last but not least, the much-awaited
BMW M3 will be out there on the turntable for one more time before the
first cars are delivered to customers in October. "MINI - c'est
moi" - the highlight of the MINI stand will naturally be the MINI
COOPER making its world debut in Paris.
