Oliver Zipse will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG effective on 16 August 2019. The company’s Supervisory Board made this decision today during its meeting in Spartanburg, South Carolina (USA). Zipse will succeed Harald Krüger, who informed the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the beginning of July that he would not seek a second term of office.
A core element of the BMW Group’s corporate Strategy Number ONE > NEXT is to increase customer orientation and to focus on future technologies and growth opportunities in global markets. In line with this, the BMW Group is reorganising its sales regions across numerous growth markets.
BMW Group has appointed Ms. Ritu Chandy as the Regional Chief Executive Officer of Financial Services for its Asia Pacific operations effective 1 July 2018.
Singapore. Mr. Christopher Wehner will take up the post of Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, with effect from 1 August 2018. Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Wehner served as the Head of Product Management Midsize Class BMW for five years.
Mr. Paul de Courtois will take up the post of Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, with effect from 1 May 2017. Prior to his new appointment as the Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, Mr. de Courtois served as the Director General of BMW Group Poland for the last four years.
BMW Group Asia has appointed Ms. Preeti Gupta as Director of Corporate Affairs for BMW Group Asia, effective 11 April 2016. Ms. Gupta succeeds Mr. Sethipong Anutarasoti.
Mr Sergio Solero will take up the post of Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, with effect from 1 January 2014.
From 1 July 2011, Mr Sethipong Anutarasoti will take over as the Corporate Affairs Director at BMW Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore, the regional corporate office of the BMW Group in Asia.
From 6 May 2009, Ms Erin Atan will take over as the Corporate Affairs Director at BMW Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore, the regional corporate office of the BMW Group in Asia. Mr Ramesh Divyanathan, who has been overseeing BMW Asia's Corporate Affairs since July 2008, will continue in his current role as the Marketing Director of the Group.

The BMW AG Supervisory Board has appointed Ian Robertson (49) as the BMW AG's new Board Member for Sales and Marketing with immediate ef-fect. Mr Robertson has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd since February 2005 and will remain in this capacity with the UK-based BMW AG subsidiary in Goodwood until his successor is an-nounced.
