BMW is the Official Car Partner for the Singapore Convention Week.

Singapore. BMW Asia and Performance Motors Limited (PML) jointly announced that BMW will be the Official Car Partner for the Singapore Convention Week.  33 units of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and 40 units of the BMW 5 Series will be deployed as official cars to support ministers and senior officials from more than 50 countries coming to Singapore for the Singapore Convention Signing Ceremony and Conference, and related events during the Singapore Convention Week from 2 – 8 Aug 2019.

The fleet was officially handed over by Mr Arnt Bayer, Managing Director of Performance Motors Limited and Ms Veronika Hammond, Director of Sales, BMW Group Asia to Mr Edwin Tong, SC, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Health on 1 Aug 2019.

Senior Minister of State Edwin Tong, SC said, “We will be hosting Ministers and senior officials from over 50 countries in Singapore next week for the signing of the Singapore Convention on Mediation. This is a very significant event for Singapore. As hosts, we are doing our best to make this high-profile international event a success and to provide memorable experiences for our guests. We are appreciative of the strong public and private partnerships that will enable this.”

“It is an honour for PML together with BMW Asia to be the mobility solutions provider for the Singapore Convention Week,” said Mr Arnt Bayer. “The signing of the Singapore Convention on Mediation is a significant milestone for Singapore and for international dispute resolution enforcement framework. On 20 December 2018, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation. The new Convention has been named the Singapore Convention on Mediation and opens for signature in Singapore on 7 Aug 2019 during the Singapore Convention Week. The Convention will also feature a series of events related to dispute resolution.
