Formula BMW USA - LIME ROCK PARK - ROUND 7 & 8 - QUALIFYING

Lakeville, Conn. - July 6, 2007... Lime Rock Park is the shortest track visited by the Formula BMW USA Championship, but its 1.53-miles, with only one left hand corner, always prove to be among the most challenging these young drivers face. A lap takes just over 50 seconds, every tenth found is hard earned, and experience always proves to be advantage.

Morad Scores Double Pole at Lime Rock Park

Lakeville, Conn. - July 6, 2007... Lime Rock Park is the shortest track visited
by the Formula BMW USA Championship, but its 1.53-miles, with only one left
hand corner, always prove to be among the most challenging these young drivers
face. A lap takes just over 50 seconds, every tenth found is hard earned, and
experience always proves to be advantage.

Round 7: Morad Ends Gutierrez's Streak to take Round 7 Pole

Overall points leader Daniel Morad (Eurointernational) broke the six-race pole
streak by Rookie Esteban Gutierrez (Autotecnica) to score the first starting
position for Round 7. Morad's 51.775 second lap topped the 17-car field in the
30-minute session that was stopped twice for crashes to take his first Formula
BMW USA pole. Morad has never started less than third this season, winning four
times and finishing second twice.

Along with Morad, last year's Rookie champion, the next three qualifiers are in
their second year of Formula BMW USA and raced at Lime Rock Park last season.
Sebastian Saavedra (Eurointernational) will start second for the young
Columbian's best career start. Maxime Pelletier (HBR Motorsport Team USA),
coming off two podium finishes in Rounds 5 and 6, will start third. Steven
Guerrero (HBR Motorsport Team USA) qualified fourth and Alexander Rossi (Team
Apex Racing USA), who raced here with the Skip Barber National Championship,
will start fifth.

Gutierrez will start sixth, the fastest Rookie in the field. The fastest 11
qualifiers were within only one second of Morad's pole-winning time and the
entire field is separated by just more than two seconds.

Morad said, "The pole fight was very close. I want to thank my whole team. They
really motivated me. At the beginning of the session I was running P6, I think,
but towards the end Sebastian and I were trading the pole time back and forth.
Finally I got it by two-tenths.
Saavedra said, "I am happy to start from the second position. If it rains or if
it stays dry, the outside of the front row is a good place to start.
Consistency is what will be important for success tomorrow."
Pelletier said, "Everything went pretty well, but I had a cramp during the last
few laps or I could possibly have improved."

Round 8: Morad Stays on Top for Round 8 Pole

After an afternoon rain deluge, Daniel Morad (Eurointernational) continued to
show the way around Lime Rock Park's drying 1.53-mile circuit with a 51.916
second lap to score his second pole position of the weekend in Round 8
qualifying. Mike Hill (Team KMA), whose best effort to-date had been an 11th
place start in Round 1, will line up on the outside of the front row. Team KMA
teammate Jeffrey Petriello will start third for the Rookie driver's fourth
top-three start of the season. Esteban Gutierrez (Autotecnica) will start
fourth and Sebastian Saavedra (Eurointernational) will start fifth.

Like Round 7, just one second separates the top-11 starters.

Morad said, "The track was only partly dry, but the car was great. I knew I had
to lead from lap one and I did it."

Hill said, "The crew has been working very hard and the car was excellent. It
will be great to start up front with my teammate Jeffrey. I'm really excited
and can't wait for the race."

Petriello said, "With about one minute left my team radioed me to push it. I
think I was only P8 or P9 then so I scared myself in a few corners and it paid
off. Mike did a great job to get P2. I am really happy for him."

The Round 7 race is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Saturday followed by Round 8 at
12:45 p.m.

Background:
Formula BMW is the world's leading entry-level championship in Formula racing.
In 2007 the series will be held in Germany, the UK, Asia and the USA. More than
80 up-and-coming drivers, some as young as 15-years old, will compete
worldwide. Racing four times in support of the Formula One World Championship,
Formula BMW offers a worldwide stage, training through a multifaceted Education
and Coaching Program and BMW's longstanding Junior scholarship for deserving
drivers.

The FB02 race car is propelled by a 140 bhp BMW engine, reaching speeds up to
140 mph. The design exceeds the FIA safety requirements for its class, with the
BMW Motorsport developed FORS (Formula Rescue Race Seat), and the mandatory
HANS (Head and Neck Support) safety system.

From November 24 to 26, 2006 the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo
Tormo hosted the second Formula BMW World Final. 37 young racing drivers from
the four regional Formula BMW series competed against each other with the
winner Christian Vietoris receiving a test drive with the BMW Sauber F1 Team.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures is also available at www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further details of the official fuel consumption figures and official specific CO2 emissions of new cars, please refer to the “Manual on the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption of new cars”, available at sales outlets free of charge, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
