An innovative communication platform online - exclusively for M model drivers
Munich. Dynamic, emotionally charged and full of power - these are the words
that sum up BMW M automobiles. For the owners of these special vehicles, the
automobile manufacturer has now created M Power World, a Web 2.0 community
platform online, - the first motor manufacturer ever to do so. At
www.m-power.com, drivers of BMW M models can now obtain first-class information
and gain an exclusive glance behind the scenes.
Beside a magazine component containing both brand-new and historic themes, the
internet platform also contains a special M Service area, where BMW M drivers
can contact dealers directly or access additional information about their
vehicle. An online forum also provides users with space to discuss current
topics and exchange ideas, along with an image gallery for users' own BMW M
photos. But that's not all: members of M Power World can also enjoy a range of
exclusive offers and events. "Our aim is to create, alongside the virtual
community, a real community of BMW M fans by organising events and meetings",
says Anette Buchta-Krell, head of BMW M Marketing Communication. With this
innovative communication medium, BMW is creating the opportunity for a direct
exchange between manufacturer and customers - a step with a great deal of
potential.
From now on, all owners of a BMW M vehicle, irrespective of whether it is new
or used, can register online at www.m-power.com using their chassis number.
From the middle of 2007, M Power World will then also be accessible to all BMW
M fans. In addition, it is planned that the platform will go international at
the end of the year.
