Husqvarna Rallye Team by Speedbrain is looking forward to the race

Following the scrutineering in Mar del Plata, all is set to begin the Dakar 2012. The Husqvarna Rallye Team by Speedbrain enters the race with factory support and five highly motivated riders. The team is eager to challenge for stage wins and to finish the longest and toughest rally on earth on the podium.

The Dakar 2012 consists of 14 stages and is held over 8,391 kilometres. The route leads from the Argentinian coast across the Andes through Chile all the way to Peru´s capital Lima. Portugal´s Paulo Goncalves, the two Spaniards Joan Barreda and Jose Manuel Pellicer, as well as Brazil´s Ike Klaumann and Zé Hélio are well prepared, having put an intensive preparation behind them. The new Husqvarna TE 449 RR by Speedbrain has been thoroughly tested. The team is looking forward to race the lightest bikes in the field to Lima.

Stage wins and an overall podium are the target for the Dakar 2012. But first comes the starting ceremony at the Plaza Colón, before the opening stage on 1 January kicks off with the first 57 km against the clock. Then comes a 763-kilometer long connection to Santa Rosa de la Pampa. Tomorrow marks the first hurdles and challenges at the beginning of two long weeks.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information are available at www.bmw.de/wltp and at www.dat.de/co2/.
