Munich, 3rd September 2014. Change was once again the order of the day at top of the standings in the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy: two wins in the French Superbike Championship (FSBK) were enough to propel Emilien Jaillet (FR) into third place. Lee Jackson (GB) made up more ground – he once again secured a place on the podium in the Superstock class of the British Superbike Championship (BSB).

BMW Motorrad Race Trophy: Jaillet the new third-placed man.

The French rider Emilien Jaillet has joined the front-runners in the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy. He races in the European Bikes class of the French Superbike Championship and won both races (see below) on his BMW S 1000 RR at the penultimate round of the season in Carole (FR). The Race Trophy points he received for this result take his tally to 193.00 points. Jaillet thus climbed from seventh to third place. The overall leader remains Markus Reiterberger (DE), whose successes in the International German Motorcycle Championship (SUPERBIKE*IDM) and the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) have given him 203.75 Race Trophy points so far this season. Second overall is Northern Ireland’s Michael Dunlop (199.38 / Isle of Man Tourist Trophy and BSB).

French Superbike Championship in Carole.

The racetrack in Carole, to the northeast of Paris, hosted the fifth round of the French Superbike Championship last weekend. And it was once again the BMW Motorrad privateers who dominated proceedings. Six BMW S 1000 RR bikes finished in the top seven in both races. Victory on both occasions went to Emilien Jaillet. He was joined on the podium after race one on Saturday by fellow BMW rider Cyril Brunet-Lugardon (FR), who finished third on his RR. He was followed in the places four to seven by BMW Motorrad privateers Michel Amalric, Madjid Idres, Florian Drouin and Remi Boitel (all FR). In Sunday’s second race, Laurent Aymonin (FR) followed Jaillet onto the podium in second place on his RR. Amalric, Brunet-Lugardon, Idres and Drouin came home fourth to seventh.

BSB National Superstock 1000 Championship in Silverstone.

The Superstock class in the British Superbike Championship (BSB), the National Superstock 1000 Championship, shared the bill with MotoGP last weekend. It staged its ninth race of the season on the support programme for the British Grand Prix in Silverstone (GB). Lee Jackson (GB) finished third for the Buildbase BMW Motorrad team on a BMW S 1000 RR. This was his fifth podium of the season. He was followed over the line by Hudson Kennaugh (ZA / Linxcel Moto Racing) in fourth place. These results saw Jackson and Kennaugh pick up more Race Trophy points, with both making up several positions in the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy standings.

Brazilian Superbike Championship in Cascavel.

Cascavel (BR) was the stage for the fourth round of the Brazilian Superbike Championship (BRSBK). In the GP Light class, BMW Motorrad privateer Fernando Neiva (BR / Black Day Racing Team) finished fourth, with Lucas Teodoro (BR / BMW Motorrad Alex Barros Racing) coming home sixth.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information are available at www.bmw.de/wltp and at www.dat.de/co2/.
