Packed programme at BMW Motorsport Car Launch in Nürnberg.

Munich (DE), 1st April 2015. Racing action on unusual terrain: that is what guests and fans can look forward to on 26th April, when Nürnberg (DE) hosts the official 2015 BMW Motorsport Car Launch. A week before the start of the DTM season, BMW Motorsport is offering an exclusive insight into its extensive programme for the 2015 season on the premises of the BMW Dealership Nürnberg.

Among the highlights are the same eight BMW M4 DTM racing cars with which BMW is out to add new chapters to its success story in the DTM in 2015. Each DTM driver will be on hand to unveil his own car for the season, including local favourite Marco Wittmann (DE). It is set to be a genuine home outing for the reigning DTM champion, who was born and lives just a few kilometres away in Fürth (DE). However, the DTM squad are not the only ones to be presented to the public in Nürnberg. The same goes for renowned drivers from the rest of BMW Motorsport’s racing programme, including Dirk Werner (DE) and Lucas Luhr (DE) from the United SportsCar Championship (USCC), 2014 BMW Motorsport Junior Jesse Krohn (FI), and BMW works driver and BMW brand ambassador Alessandro Zanardi (IT).

The driving activities on the specially created track are bound to send a shiver down the spine of fans on site: as well as two BMW M4 DTM racing cars, the BMW Z4 GT3 and BMW M235i Racing will also complete a series of demo drives. With a bit of luck, visitors may even take to the track themselves: taxi rides in a BMW M3 GT2 or historic BMW M3 from the 1980s with one of the DTM stars can be won at the BMW Motorsport Car Launch. An autograph session with the BMW DTM drivers rounds off the exciting programme.

11:00 – 12:30             Interviews with BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt, the four BMW DTM team principals, and all drivers present

12:30 – 14:00             Lunch

14:00 – 15:00             Presentation and driving activities with the BMW M4 DTM, BMW Z4 GT3 and BMW M235i Racing
