Currently fourth in the world rankings, Stenson claimed victory in the iconic German tournament for the second time earlier this year in Cologne. The charismatic Swedish golfer confirmed his participation in the 29th staging of the BMW International Open, just as advance ticket sales begin with a Christmas discount.
“Following my victory in Cologne this year, in 2017 I could become the first player to win three BMW International Open titles. That would be cool, especially as I feel right at home at this tournament,” said Stenson, who claimed his first Major at the Open in 2016, as well as winning Olympic silver and his second Race to Dubai title. “Come and see me there at the Golf Club Eichenried. What better Christmas gift could there be than buying tickets for the 2017 BMW International Open? Merry Xmas.”
