About five weeks before the season opener, BMW Motorrad Motorsport presented the 2024 WorldSBK line-up to the public in Berlin. The two teams, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team and the Bonovo action BMW Racing Team, as well as the four BMW Motorrad WorldSBK factory riders Toprak Razgatlioglu (TUR), Michael van der Mark (NED), Scott Redding (GBR), and Garrett Gerloff (USA), unveiled their BMW M 1000 RR superbikes for the WorldSBK 2024.

The BMW Group will open its own motorcycle production site at the end of 2016 in Manaus, Brazil. The new BMW Group Plant Manaus will create around 170 jobs. The BMW Group is already planning to produce more than 10,000 BMW motorcycles in 2017 for the Brazilian market and is expecting significant volume growth in the market by assembling the new BMW G 310 R locally.
BMW Group dual training system attracts great interest.
Today the 500,000th BMW motorcycle of the flat-twin-engined GS model series came off the production line – a R 1200 GS. Since 1969 motorcycles have been manufactured for the world market in Berlin-Spandau and since 1980 the BMW Motorrad GS models with boxer engine, too. Motorcycles which inspire the urge for adventure travel and even to go on expeditions to the remotest corners of the earth.
