The BMW M Sports Trophy has a long tradition. For the 62nd time, BMW M Motorsport honoured the most successful private teams and drivers for their performances in BMW race cars around the world during the BMW M Night of Trophies on Saturday.
For the 61st time, BMW M Motorsport honoured the most successful private teams and drivers for their performances in BMW race cars around the world at the BMW M Sports Trophy Awards last Saturday. Turner Motorsport topped the team ranking this time, while Michael Schrey (GER) triumphed in the driver ranking.
The winners of the BMW M Sports Trophy, which was run for the 60th time in 2022, have been confirmed. The competition recognises the most successful teams and drivers competing privately around the world with BMW M Motorsport race cars, and victory in this year’s Driver competition went to North America.
At the end of the season, BMW M Motorsport honours the most successful drivers and teams for their performances in recent months with the BMW M Sports Trophy awards.
The series of successes for the BMW M6 GT3 has come to an end at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL). After victories at the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring (GER), the 8 Hours of Indianapolis (USA) and in numerous GT races around the world, the classic endurance race in the Ardennes came to an early end for both Walkenhorst Motorsport cars.
BMW M Customer Racing teams should actually have been in action around the world for a number of weeks already. However, the global coronavirus pandemic has meant a longer winter break than anticipated. In a new series, we report on how the BMW M Customer Racing teams have spent this enforced break. CO2 emission information.
Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.
All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies.
