With the new HP4 RACE, BMW Motorrad presents a purebred racing bike in a production run of 750. It is individually crafted by a small, highly specialised team, ensuring the very highest level of quality.
At this year’s EICMA, BMW Motorrad reveals an initial glimpse of the most exclusive model in its history to date: the BMW HP4 RACE.
The function ABS Pro represents a consistent refinement of the Race ABS in that it now enables ABS-supported braking when cornering. ABS Pro is offered as a retrofittable option which can be acquired through BMW Motorrad dealerships and is initially reserved exclusively for the top supersports model in the BMW Motorrad product range, the HP4.
With a total of eight podium positions in the categories "Sport", "Naked", "Enduro" and "Allrounder", BMW Motorrad achieved an excellent result in the readers' vote for the "Best Sports Motorcycles 2014" run by sports motorcycle magazine PS. Readers voted for the BMW HP4 as the "Best Sports Motorcycle over 750 cc". In the brand ranking, BMW Motorrad achieved an outstanding second place.
Munich. Several new BMW Motorrad products will see their trade fair premiere at this year's INTERMOT in Cologne from October 3rd - 7th 2012, including the new BMW F 700 GS and the new BMW HP4. BMW Motorrad will also be presenting a world premiere: the successor model to the BMW R 1200 GS
With the BMW HP4, BMW Motorrad presents the lightest 4-cylinder supersports bike in the 1000cc class to date. Based on the BMW S 1000 RR - or RR for short - the new sports motorcycle has an output of 142 kW (193 hp) and weighs just 199 kilos including Race ABS and with a 90% full fuel tank (169 kg dry weight with Race ABS).
