Munich, July 25, 2022. On Thursday, July 21, 2022, British motorsport idol Patrick Barron Hopkirk MBE passed away peacefully in Buckinghamshire. Born in Belfast on April 14, 1933, Paddy – as he was affectionately known - began a fast-paced career as a racing driver in the 1950s. The world of motorsport and the MINI community mourn an important figure from within the industry.

BMW Group Classic and the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este are presenting the world’s most exclusive and traditional beauty contest for historic cars and motorcycles from 24th to 26th May 2019 +++ The motto is: “The Symphony of Engines – 90 Years of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este & BMW Automobiles” +++ The Selecting Committee has defined the first three award classes for classic automobiles and is now accepting nominations.
At the Goodwood Revival, Troy Corser and Herbert Schwab astride the BMW R 57 Kompressor won the overall placings in the race for the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy for the first time – Off the race track, BMW Group Classic also recalled the 1950s and 1960s with a glamorous vehicle fleet and period backdrop to match the era.
BMW Group Classic is showing its commitment as the main sponsor of the youngtimer tour once again. The iconic BMW M1 and BMW 3.0 CSL coupés are reminiscent of the 1970s and will lead a colourful flotilla of vehicles. For the first time, the 17th edition of the cult touring event will also include two classics from BMW Motorrad.

CO2 emission information.
Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.
All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies.
