Hockenheim (DE), 18th October 2015. One day after claiming pole position, Maxime Martin (BE) was again the fastest BMW driver in the second qualifying session in Hockenheim (DE). His fastest time of 1:32.826 minutes at the wheel of the SAMSUNG BMW M4 DTM was enough to earn him fifth place on the grid. Augusto Farfus (BR, Shell BMW M4 DTM) qualified tenth, to make it two BMW DTM drivers in the top ten. Pole position for the final race of the season went to Gary Paffett (GB, Mercedes).

Tom Blomqvist (GB, BMW M4 DTM) was 12th fastest, followed by Bruno Spengler (CA, BMW Bank M4 DTM) and Marco Wittmann (DE, Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM) in 15th and 16th. António Félix da Costa (PT, Red Bull BMW M4 DTM), Timo Glock (DEUTSCHE POST BMW M4 DTM) and Martin Tomczyk (DE, BMW M Performance Parts M4 DTM) qualified 19th, 21st and 23rd.

Quote from the best-placed BMW driver.

“Starting from the top five, you have a good chance of picking up plenty of points. I could have been a bit faster still, but made a slight mistake. However, that can happen when you only have two flying laps at your disposal in these conditions. I am the best BMW driver and up there at the front of the field again. The season finale has been a very good one for me so far. All in all, however, it looks as though today is going to be more difficult for BMW than yesterday. We will see what we can do in the race, and focus on scoring as many points as possible.” – Maxime Martin (BMW Team RMG, 5th)

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures is also available at www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further details of the official fuel consumption figures and official specific CO2 emissions of new cars, please refer to the “Manual on the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption of new cars”, available at sales outlets free of charge, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
