Munich. From middle of May the BMW Motorrad System 6 helmet in the sizes 52/53 to 64/65 will also be available in the new colour fluorescent yellow.

functionality.
With the System 6 helmet in bright yellow
BMW is now offering a helmet which is guaranteed to turn heads.
The helmet weighing only 1,570 or 1,670 grams respectively is equipped with a double visor and an integrated sunshield. This can be adjusted comfortably and continuously using a slider on the left side of the helmet.
The outer visor with its large viewing area is scratch-resistant on the inside and outside absorbing UV radiation 100 percent. The hygroscopic inside visor provides the best possible protection against misting over in wet conditions. In addition the very effective and lockable visor ventilation safeguards clear sight in bad weather.
The large ventilation opening on the top of the helmet together with the negative pressure ventilation in the neck area ensures easy-to-adjust, but very efficient ventilation of head and visor.
Due to the sophisticated quadruple-joint mechanism of the chin unit, the helmet's dimensions are also very compact when open. The chin-strap with integrated neck straps is easy to operate using an adjustable snap lock with central pressure button. The chin deflector can be individually adjusted.
Helmet shell and interior available in two sizes.
The outer shell made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) is
manufactured in two sizes. The interior shell made of expanded
polystyrene (EPS) consists of several segments in order to achieve
optimum damping. The entire interior padding made of high-grade
alcantara and Coolmax fabric (DuPont) can be removed for washing
together with the neck and cheek padding which is also available in
different sizes.
The System 6 helmet is ready for retrofitting with the BMW Motorrad Communication System and is aerodynamically and aeroacoustically outstanding. Its advanced streamlining makes it one of the quietest flip-front helmets on the market.
Apart from the new colour fluorescent yellow the BMW Motorrad System 6 helmet is also available in night black, dark grey matt and white silver metallic as well as in two decor versions (Cosmic, SharpEdged).
