The top 70 players in the FedExCup, who have qualified for the BMW Championship at Cherry Hills Country Club (4th to 7th September), are each provided with a car for the week by the BMW Group. World number one Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) opted for the BMW i8 and is a big fan of the futuristic sports car, which boasts the consumption and emission values of a compact car.

On the way from the Cherry Hills Country Club to the players’ hotel in Denver, the four-time Major winner took time out for an interview, during which he spoke about his latest successes, the Ryder Cup, the season finale on the PGA TOUR, and the BMW i8.
