BMW Individual and Special Edition Models

Following hot on the heels of the recently upgraded Sports, Exclusive
and Communications packages, BMW South Africa is pleased to announce
changes to the Individual packages for the 3 Series. These options
effectively make the evergreen 3 Series the most customisable compact
executive on the market. In essence, Individual allows you to
personalise your BMW 3 Series like no other. Choose from the following:
Individual Paint There is a total of 9 colours, 3 of which are brand
new. These colours are Diamond (a very pale silvery gold), Malachite
Green and Imola Red. The carry-over colours are Estoril Blue (a bright,
vibrant blue), Midnight Blue, Brass, Orinoco, Scarab Green and Sepia.
Individual Interiors There is a wide range of Nappa (extremely soft,
supple leather) and Alcantara (suede leather) trims to choose from.

Estoril Blue Platin (almost white) Black Anthricite Champagne
Ecru Ecru (pale creamy green) M Sports Package (Individual) Most
customers select the M Sports package* when kitting their Individual 3
Series. This package has been revised for Individual models - 17-inch
alloys are replaced with 18-inch wheels. Front - 8J x 18 (225/40 R18).
Rear 8,5J x 18 (255/35 R18). *Sport suspension settings (lowered by
15mm); Sport seats for driver and front passenger; M Sports
multifunction leather steering wheel; M Aerodynamics package ll (M
bumpers with front and rear spoilers, sporty side sills); Individual
high-gloss satin window trim; Alu-Cube Black / Door sills with M Badge;
Anthracite roof lining; White indicator lenses. In the past,
Individual packages were limited to 6-cylinder models only - well no
longer!! With the release of 3 Series Special Edition 318i and 320d
models, 4-cylinder units can now also boast Individual apparel. The
package content for these two models is as follows: - 4 Individual
exterior colours to choose from (Diamond, Estoril Blue, Opal Black and
Scarab); Cloth/Leather combination; M Sports Package (minus Sports
seats); 17-inch star-spoke alloys; "Special Edition"
inscribed on door sill. Pricing The good news is that the Individual
package prices have not increased since May 2002, despite added value.
Even when married to the M Sports package (with the larger 18-inch
wheels), the price premium is a mere R1 000, even although the bigger
'footwear' is valued at way over R6 000. With the different Individual
permutations available (with or without M Sports package; with or
without Individual interior etc), prices for Individual model packages
vary. For example, Individual paint and an M Sports package on a 330i
will set you back R20 000. By comparison, the 'full Monty' package
(Individual paint, Individual Alcantara and M Sports Package) on the
same 330i will cost R32 500. The Special Edition 318i and 320d models
will be offered at only R14 000 over the standard price.
