Midrand. BMW Motorrad South Africa is pleased to announce an industry first for the country – a five-year warranty for models ordered from 1 June 2020.
In a first for the motorcycle industry in South Africa, all BMW Motorrad motorcycles, barring HP4 RACE, will be covered by the five-year, unlimited kilometres warranty. The warranty covers any possible manufacturer defects (including labour) and excludes wear-and-tear items such as tyres.
Edgar Kleinbergen, Head of BMW Motorrad South Africa, says: “For us, the five-year warranty is about peace of mind for our loyal customers: the future value of their motorcycles is now better protected. Furthermore, it shows BMW Motorrad’s trust in our products’ quality and durability, as well as our network of dedicated dealers here in South Africa.”
In addition, access to BMW On Call, a 24-hour roadside emergency service, has been extended to five years, too.
The announcement of a five-year warranty comes as BMW Motorrad recently introduced a five-year warranty for all helmets (retroactively from 1 January 2020).
