BMW Individual Manufaktur showcases bespoke craftsmanship through the Gary Player Signature BMW 7 Series.

With a car that honours one of South Africa's greatest sportsmen, BMW Group South Africa is spotlighting the exclusive potential of BMW Individual Manufaktur, a service that allows customers to transform their vehicle into a truly personal creation. This offering represents the highest expression of craftsmanship and individuality within the BMW portfolio.

BMW Individual Manufaktur gives clients the opportunity to co-create vehicles defined by their personality and taste, from tailored materials and one-off colours to luxury hand-finished detailing and bespoke insignias. Every request is carefully considered and handled by BMW’s dedicated design and production teams, ensuring precision, authenticity and an exceptional level of customisation.

To demonstrate the depth of this capability, BMW has produced a personalised BMW M760e xDrive inspired by South African golf legend Gary Player. Commissioned as a tribute to Mr Player in celebration of his 90^th birthday, the vehicle auction went live on 17 October and will run until 30 October to raise funds for the Blair Atholl Pre-Primary School through The Gary and Vivienne Player Foundation.

In July 2025, Mr Player visited BMW Group Plant Dingolfing in Germany, where he witnessed the completion of this personalised vehicle and fitted the BMW emblem himself. The finished M760e xDrive embodies BMW’s ability to merge engineering excellence with precision artistry and craftsmanship.

Key highlights of the Gary Player Signature BMW 7 Series include:

• A two-tone Black Sapphire Metallic and BMW Individual Dravit Grey Metallic exterior, evoking understated elegance.
• The Gary Player signature logo, laser-engraved on the C-pillar as a mark of individuality.
• A hand-finished interior, featuring embroidered upholstery, engraved trim and golf-inspired detailing.
• PXG accessories and a commemorative key box, designed by Montblanc, that houses the vehicle’s key as well as a bespoke writing instrument, both crafted to complement the vehicle’s refined aesthetic and link its interior design to Mr Player’s heritage.
