BMW Motorrad is the only motorcycle manufacturer to produce a comprehensive
range of quality helmets. This summer, a new contender is set to steal the
style stakes as BMW introduces a brand new addition to the 2006 collection -
the SportIntegral ProRace helmet.

Based on the high technology of the SportIntegral and the Carbon SportIntegral,
the ProRace helmet is designed for sports riders - or at least riders with
sporting pretensions! Every feature has been developed to deliver what the
Motorrad brand is renowned for - quality, innovation, style and the highest
possible degree of protection.

With a double-D ring fastener and a high cut-out area in the rear neck section,
the SportIntegral ProRace helmet is perfect for sports bikes enthusiasts. A
unique neckband integrated into the chinstrap offers unequalled protection and
instantly reduces the twisting of the helmet. This is a rare feature in the
bike helmet market and ensures that the helmet remains in the best possible
position at all times.

The lightweight 1,350g laminate construction of fibreglass, carbon and KEVLAR®
offers maximum safety, while the six-segment expanded polystyrene inner shell
maximises shock absorption. The helmet weighs just 1,350g and is approved under
ECE 22-05. The new ProRace design also features the superior aero-acoustic
properties perfected in the Carbon SportIntegral helmet. The rear spoiler
ensures optimum directional stability at high speeds.

Extensive testing has demonstrated the helmet has outstanding aerodynamic
characteristics (compared to competitors) that also helps to minimise noise and
reduce buffeting. Equipped with an anti-fog and anti-scratch coating, the
3-dimension optional visor also absorbs 99.99 per cent of all UVA and UVB rays.

The quality of the SportIntegral ProRace helmet suits experienced sports bike
enthusiasts, but it is also the ideal piece of equipment for entry-level riders.

The new SportIntegral ProRace helmet is available across the BMW Motorrad UK
dealer network now priced at just £255. Riders can choose from three colours in
a two-toned patterned design, including Flame (red and black), Track (white,
blue and black) and Arrow (yellow and black.)

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
