The Continuation of "Sheer Driving Pleasure"
BMW Lifestyle Collection

Munich. Innovation and dynamism, aesthetics and authenticity: the BMW
Lifestyle Collection displays the same main characteristics as BMW automobiles,
BMW motorcycles and BMW bicycles. Whether we are talking about a full-size
vehicle, a miniature or an accessory, the BMW brand name is always associated
with the highest standards of quality, flawless materials, painstaking
craftsmanship and striking design. And these features have been successfully
incorporated in the lifestyle products as well, in line with the company's
philosophy.

Jackets, leather articles, sunglasses: all products are made in cooperation
with the best partners in the respective industry. The materials used and the
finished collection are subjected to the same certified quality controls as BMW
cars and motorbikes. The materials are innovative, durable and functional.

BMW puts a great deal of stress on functionality. This means surprising
solutions for bags and clasps, or devices for hands-free mobile phone systems.
Some design features from the BMW automobile range have also been adapted for
the lifestyle collection.

The time taken to develop BMW lifestyle accessories may be shorter than that
for cars, but it is no less intensive. The whole development process, from
coming up with the product to putting it on the market, is the same as with a
vehicle. After market research and economic viability studies have been
carried out, BMW staff develop a design plan. Prototypes ensure the quality
and, above all, the functionality of the product. Laboratory tests guarantee
that only state-of-the-art materials are used.

BMW chief designer Chris Bangle, who also supervised the development of the
Lifestyle Collection, has defined the guiding principle: "Our collection
derives its style from the essence of the brand name, because only coherent
character can define an individual style." For BMW, credibility means only
launching authentic products or designs. The credibility of the brand name is
a result of the overall message of everything BMW brings out.

This results in products that tell about various facets of the world of BMW:
the joy of movement and sensuous experience, intellectual agility, the belief
in an active lifestyle ? and in innovation. In its new developments, the
Lifestyle Collection is every bit the equal of BMW automobiles. The iDrive is
to the BMW 5 and 7 series what ?The Watch? is to the accessories. "The Watch"
was worldwide the first automatic digital watch on the market.

BMW has been bringing out accessories since the mid-70s. The BMW Lifestyle
Collection has been in existence since 1997. It includes fashion and
accessories, BMW bikes and boards, miniatures, mobility products and the Baby
Racer for kids, and is available at selected BMW dealers and in the Internet
at: www.bmw-shop.com/lifestyle.

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
