Attached is a comprehensive press kit and selection of images of the new 2006
BMW R1200 S Supersport, premiered to the world's media at the international
motorcycle show (EICMA) in Milan today.

In addition to the exciting new sports model, a further three 2006 BMW
motorcycles will also be launched in Milan this week (16-20 November).
Announced last month the BMW F800 S, featuring the first twin-cylinder engine
in the history of BMW Motorrad, will be on display alongside the new F800 ST
Sports Tourer derivative and a new generation K1200 GT Tourer.

BMW F800 S Sports:
Initial press information and images have already been released of the new
mid-market sports contender. Designated the F800 S, the new vertical
twin-cylinder model with belt drive is powered by a four-valve unit, which has
an extremely high compression ratio of 12:1 and a combustion chamber based on
that of the new K1200 S engine. A power output exceeding 80 hp, combined with
excellent torque characteristics, has resulted in effective low-emission
combustion and fuel consumption well below the class average.

BMW F8000 ST Sports Tourer:
The F800 ST is the sports touring version of the F800 S and features a higher
windshield, lower additional bodywork, a more upright riding position and
brackets to take panniers. The dry weight of the F800 ST is just under 190kg
and the road-ready weight is below 210kg. The two belt-driven F models differ
only in the above technical specification.

BMW K1200 GT:
A replacement for the existing K1200 GT, the 2006 Gran Turismo model offers
top-class riding dynamics and a high performance engine with a power output
exceeding 150 hp.

The K1200 GT has been designed using the same innovative technology first seen
on the K1200 S and features BMW Duolever front wheel suspension and Paralever
shaft drive to the rear wheel. The sophisticated BMW Electronic Suspension
Adjustment (ESA) is available as an optional extra. Standard features include
adjustable seat, handlebars, Integral ABS, panniers and windshield. The latter
can be electronically adjusted to suit individual peferences.

Detailed press kits and pricing information will be released at a later date.
The UK market launch of all new BMW models is spring 2006.

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
