It's time once again for Europe's biggest annual outdoor motorcycle show and
BMW Motorrad will be celebrating the event with the appearance of two very
special guests. The BMF Show will take place on 20-21 May at the East of
England Showground in Peterborough and visitors to the BMW Motorrad stand will
have the chance to meet Dave Myers and Si King - better known as BBC 2 TV's
Hairy Bikers.

The Northern 'foodies' will appear on the stand during the afternoon on Sunday
21 May to meet the fans and sign copies of their tantalising new Hairy Bikers
Cookbook. It will also be a great opportunity for enthusiasts to chat with
Dave and Si about their travels on two wheels - including on BMW R1200 GS and
F650 GS bikes, and the places they visiting that inspired so many of the
recipes in the book.

Aside from the Hairy Bikers, the BMW stand will showcase an array of bikes from
the 2006 model line-up. The display will feature the full range of 'new
generation' models, including the recently launched K1200 GT grand tourer,
R1200 GS Adventure, R1200 S sports boxer and F800 S sports middleweight twin.
Other bikes on show from the 2006 range will include the HP2 Enduro, K1200 S
superbike and K1200 R super-naked.

Visitors will also be able to see one of the Race to Dakar team's modified F650
GS bikes that successfully completed the 2006 Lisbon-Dakar rally alongside the
team's branded BMW X5 support vehicle. Both will be on display on the Michelin
stand.

BMW Motorrad will also be organising a number of ride-outs during the weekend.
Riders will be spoilt for choice with a range of ten bikes on offer, including
all four new models, as well as the F650 GS, K1200 R, K1200 S, R1200 RT and
R1200 GS. (Those wishing to take part in the demo rides must bring photo ID
and a valid motorcycle licence - both parts for the latest type).

Along with a range of bikes to test, there will also be innovative new products
from BMW's Rider Equipment collection on display, as well as full details of
the World of BMW Activity programme and how to participate in it.

The BMF Show features hundreds of trade and manufacturer stands, live music,
sideshows and arena events, and takes place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May,
from 9am-5pm.

Customers can call BMW's information line: 0800 777 155 or visit

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
