Price announced for BMW M3 Coupé
Further details of the new BMW M3 Coupé, the most powerful road-going M3 the
marque has ever produced, have been announced.

The latest BMW M3 Coupé is a technical tour de force. The 420hp V8-engined
performance car is capable of zero to 62mph in 4.8 seconds, before going on to
an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph. But while engine capacity,
cylinder count and output have increased compared to the previous M3's
six-cylinder unit, engineers have managed to reduce powerplant weight and
introduce elements of BMW's EfficientDynamics programme.

The use of lightweight engine components means the 3,999cc engine weighs 15kgs
less than the previous 3.2-litre six-cylinder. Brake Energy Regeneration
combines with an induction system featuring eight individual throttle
butterflies and double-VANOS variable valve technology for the best
performance. Such technology is why the BMW M3 posts a consumption figure of
22.8mpg on the combined cycle, an eight per cent improvement over the outgoing
car.

The BMW M3 Coupé goes on sale in September 2007 priced at £50,625 OTR.

Reduced price for Service Inclusive package
BMW's popular Service Inclusive package that keeps the cost of car ownership to
a minimum is now available for a new low introductory price. Customers
purchasing a BMW 1 Series can now take advantage of a £190 one-off fee at the
time of purchase and get their car covered by BMW's five-year, 60,000 miles
Service package.

By choosing this option an owner is subsequently covered for all routine
servicing of their vehicle including parts and labour during this period. The
package covers items including brake fluid, air filters, fuel filters (diesel
models only), spark plugs, oil filters and engine oil. It is also transferable
to subsequent owners within the five-year time and mileage restrictions.

Steve Nash, BMW UK aftersales director, said: "When you factor in average
labour rates across the industry and parts prices it's clear to see that the
£190 one-off charge for the Service package represents excellent value for
money and peace of mind for the BMW 1 Series buyer."

More accolades for BMW
BMW has been honoured with five more awards from the UK's motoring press in
recognition of its outstanding product range. Auto Express magazine voted the
BMW 3 Series best compact executive car in its recent annual Used Car Awards
ceremony. The BMW 5 Series scooped the prize for best executive car. The
readers of Auto Express also honoured BMW by voting the 5 Series best executive
car in its Driver Power Survey 2007. Unlike other awards Driver Power honours
are chosen by car buying readers who rate the vehicles they've owned.

News of these awards comes at the same time as influential business publication
Fleet News voted the 3 Series and 5 Series best compact executive and best
executive cars. It is the fourth successive year the 3 Series has won its
category at the Fleet News awards and the third successive year for the 5
Series.

Corporate Communications department appointments
The BMW UK Corporate Communications department has a new press fleet
co-ordinator. Sarah Lovegrove has taken over the role previously occupied by
Martin Harrison. Sarah joins the team on secondment from BMW Finance and starts
with immediate effect. Martin has moved to become Group Communications
Executive while Natalie Wakefield is on maternity leave.

For all press fleet enquiries Sarah can be contacted on 01344 480493, her email
address is sarah.lovegrove@bmw.co.uk. For all queries relating to manufacturing
and environmental affairs Martin Harrison is now available on 01344 480108 and
his email address is martin.harrison@bmw.co.uk.

On-line fraud
Following a spate of bogus emails, BMW UK would like to underscore that it does
not offer cash prizes or cars as part of free prize draws. An email entitled
'International Awareness Promotion Department of the BMW Automobile Company' is
not a bonafide BMW campaign and the firm has no relationship with the people
responsible for issuing the notices.

Richard Price, BMW national customer service manager, said: "We are aware that
there are a number of similar emails in circulation and we are currently
investigating how to prevent those responsible from using BMW's name in such a
way. We advise anyone who receives the email not to enter into correspondence
with the sender."

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
