BMW (GB) Ltd will launch an official Approved Used Bike Programme in May. The
manufacturer-backed scheme will be operated exclusively through the extensive
BMW dealer network and will be complemented by an official used BMW bike
locator site on the internet.

Motorcycles purchased through the BMW Approved Used Bike Programme will have
one of the best warranties available for used bikes, specifically designed to
give each customer complete peace of mind when buying. Every used bike sold
will have a minimum 12 months cover, have been subject to a HPI/Equifax check
and will be fully prepared to BMW standards.

Operated exclusively through the BMW dealer network, the Approved Used Bike
Programme also includes the official used BMW locator on the internet
(www.bmw.co.uk). By using the locator, customers will be able to search for
their preferred model by key word, region and price range, or alternatively,
search through all available stock. The stock is updated daily.

The search results appear in a list, including an image of the bike, a brief
description, the retail price and the name of the dealer who is selling the
bike. All of these details can be printed out in detailed format for
reference. The customer can also view the relevant dealer's own website and
can e-mail or telephone them for further information.

Most dealers will be operating the BMW Approved Used Bike dealer website
service in the showroom for customers, which will elevate the used bike buying
experience to that of a new bike purchase, according to Motorcycle Manager
David Taylor:

"We're all aware that peace of mind is fundamental when buying a used bike and
that customers who buy privately don't have any comeback should a problem
occur. With the approved used BMW scheme, they will have the assurance that
comes with buying from a franchised dealer as well as additional benefits such
as the warranty, full service history and comprehensive preparation checks.

"I'm certain that the BMW Approved Used Bike Programme and the national used
bike locator will ensure customers can find the BMW of their choice at the
right price and with the confidence that comes from buying directly from a BMW
motorcycle dealer."

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
